Description
A non-toxic, water-based, environmentally friendly one-component waterproofing compound formulated with acrylic copolymer, rubber and bitumen. Forms an extremely flexible, tough film with very low water uptake and excellent crack-bridging performance.
Recommended Uses
Waterproofing correctly primed cementitious substrates, flat balconies, parapet walls and basements. Suitable for correctly primed galvanised iron, steel, wood and existing bitumen surfaces. Helps combat efflorescence.
Surface Preparation
Surfaces must be correctly primed, clean, sound and dry; remove dust, grease, oil, loose material and contaminants. Repair cracks and gaps exceeding 5 mm and reinforce with suitable membrane.
Application
Stir before use. Apply by brush, roller or suitable spray equipment. Normal waterproofing: 1 L/m² total in 4 coats at approximately 250 microns wet film per coat. Challenging surfaces: 2 L/m² total. Allow each coat to dry before recoating.
Drying
- Touch dry: 1 hour at 23°C.
- Recoat: 3 hours at 23°C.
- Fully cured: 1 week.
UV Protection
Product has good UV resistance. For extra durability and UV protection, finish with a compatible pure acrylic roof coating. Use a compatible white acrylic topcoat for cool-roof applications.
Safety Precautions
Keep out of reach of children. Avoid eye and prolonged skin contact. Wear gloves, goggles, overalls and protective footwear. Ensure ventilation and use respiratory protection if required.
First Aid
- Eyes: Rinse with water for several minutes.
- Skin: Wash with water before the product dries.
- Ingestion: Do not induce vomiting; drink water and obtain medical advice.
- Inhalation: Move to fresh air.
Environment & Disposal
Do not discharge into drains or waterways. Absorb small spills with sand or rags. Dispose of product and packaging according to local requirements.
