Storage
- Store tightly closed in a cool, well-ventilated place.
- Keep away from heat, sparks, open flames and oxidisers.
Surface Preparation
- Wire-brush or mechanically clean where necessary.
- Remove rust, scale, oil, grease and contamination.
- Degrease and treat steel with an appropriate cleaner.
- Surface must be clean, sound and dry.
Intended Uses
- Primer coat for steel and ferrous metal surfaces.
- Provides an excellent base for top coats.
Application Details
- Apply by roller, brush or spray.
- Practical spreading rate: 10 m²/L per coat.
- Apply 2 coats unthinned.
- Recommended total dry film: 30 microns.
- Clean equipment with Etch Thinners.
Limitations
- For exterior exposure, apply a suitable final coat within six months.
- Use only with adequate ventilation.
- Keep away from ignition sources.
Safety Precautions
- Flammable. No smoking, sparks or open flames.
- Vapour-air mixtures may form above 12°C.
- Use explosion-protected equipment and earth containers.
- Wear impervious gloves and goggles.
- Use respiratory protection if ventilation is insufficient.
First Aid
- Inhalation: Move to fresh air.
- Eyes: Rinse immediately with plenty of water.
- Skin: Wash with soap and water and remove contaminated clothing.
- Ingestion: Rinse mouth, give water, do not induce vomiting and seek medical advice.
Environment & Disposal
- Keep out of sewers and waterways.
- Absorb spills with sand or inert absorbent.
- Dispose in accordance with local requirements.
